Property & Location
Carolina Joy Vacation Rental is located in a rural mountain area near Robbinsville.
The surrounding area includes farms, cabins, RVs, and camping properties
This is a small-town, rural environment with nearby stores and restaurants
Access is via a gravel road from Snowbird Road
The approach is suitable for motorcycles, sports cars, trailers, and standard vehicles
Please drive slowly and use caution, especially with low-profile vehicles
Occupancy & Booking Requirements
Maximum occupancy: 8 guests
Minimum booking age: 25
Only registered guests are permitted on the property
No parties, events, or gatherings
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in: 4:00 PM
Check-out: 10:00 AM (strict)
Self check-in via smart lock
Late check-out without prior approval may result in additional fees
Parking & Vehicles
Parking is permitted only in the gravel driveway
ATVs, off-road, and untagged vehicles must remain on the driveway
Gasoline containers are not permitted inside the house
Smoking Policy
No smoking or vaping inside the house
Smoking is permitted outdoors only
Please use provided ashtrays
Pets
Pet-friendly (maximum 2 pets)
Pet fee: $50 per stay
Pets must be disclosed in advance
Furniture covers must be used if pets are on sofas or beds
Guests are fully responsible for their pets at all times
Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are welcome
Emotional support animals are not considered service animals
Despite professional cleaning, dog hair may be present (rarely); no refunds are provided for this
Children & Safety
The property is not childproof and is not fenced
A creek runs behind the property
Children are welcome at the guest’s discretion
Guests are responsible for supervising children and pets at all times
Wildlife & Nature
Wildlife and insects may be present due to the rural setting
No refunds are provided for wildlife or insect encounters
The interior and outside perimeter of the home is professionally treated for pests
Noise & Fire Safety
Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Fires are allowed only in the designated fire pit
Burn wood logs only
Security & Monitoring
Exterior security cameras record audio and video 24/7 (standard hotel-level security)
Do not tamper with or disconnect cameras, internet equipment, detectors, or thermostat
Tampering will result in immediate cancellation without refund
House Care
Lock doors and windows when leaving the property
Do not flush anything other than toilet paper
Dispose of trash in the outdoor bin
The shed and RV site are off-limits to guests
Liability & Refund Policy
Guests assume all risk for personal injury, loss, or damage
No refunds are provided for weather, illness, power or internet outages, road conditions, or acts of God
Maintenance access may be required if necessary during your stay
Violation Fees (Not Limited To)
Indoor smoking: $100
Undisclosed or unauthorized pets: $100
Extra guests over 8: $30 per person, per night
Excessive cleaning: $100+
Late check-out: $20 per hour
Damaged or missing items charged at replacement cost
Check-Out Instructions
Before departure, please:
Wash and put away dishes
Place used towels in the laundry basket
Leave bedding and furniture covers in place
Dispose of food and trash in the outdoor bin
Extinguish the fire pit and grill
Lock doors and windows and close curtains
Final Agreement
By completing your booking, you confirm that these House Rules and Rental Terms have been read, understood, and agreed to by all guests in your party.
